Bruton Smith and Rusty Wallace Open Gates To New Victory Lanes For Fans Nationwide
NASCAR fans know how hard it is for their favorite drivers to get to Victory Lane, but Speedway Children's Charities is making it easy for fans to be a part of new Victory Lanes at their favorite race tracks.
Speedway Children's Charities founder Bruton Smith and NASCAR champion Rusty Wallace announced the construction of "Friends of Speedway Children's Charities Victory Lanes" at Speedway Motorsports, Inc. tracks across the country. Through a partnership with Get-Etched.com, race fans can have a personal photograph carved permanently into new black granite walls which will be dramatic visual additions to America's favorite race tracks.
Fans can purchase space in a new Victory Lane of their choice at Lowe's Motor Speedway at Charlotte, Infineon Raceway, Texas Motor Speedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway and Las Vegas Motor Speedway with net proceeds benefiting Speedway Children's Charities. For $300 plus shipping and handling, participants will receive one 8.5 by 11 inch photo etching with display stand and a 5 by 7 inch version that will be placed at their favorite track. A total of 10,000 etchings per speedway will be available for purchase.
"Drivers write their names into the record book all the time," said Smith. "Now, our many loyal fans can have their images etched onto these new Victory Lanes at the track and feel the pride of having done something good to support kids and families in need with a permanent symbol of their generosity."
"Visually, this will be a striking addition to the landscape at our track," said H.A. "Humpy" Wheeler, president and general manager of Lowe's Motor Speedway where today's announcement took place. "Most importantly, it will provide a tangible, hands-on demonstration of the kindness and generosity of our fans."
Get-Etched.com will accept both original prints and digital images for processing and etching, with space also available for a personal message. Those interested in purchasing etchings can do so by visiting FriendsWall.com.
